Timothy Adegoke

(Pelumi) is a singer-songwriter born and raised in North-Central Nigeria. He was influenced from an early age by contemporary gospel artistes of the 90s, featured as a soloist in a teenage choir and eventually began writing and recording songs shortly after high school. His first major single, self titled: “Oluwa Pelumi” became a runaway radio hit in his home state, Kwara and then filtered to Lagos following which he landed a record deal with the now-defunct StrictlyNextLevel Entertainment, affiliated to Nigezie Inc., under which he released a few more singles which were well received by the OAPs across Lagos and Abuja. By this time he was neck deep into medical school and as such, had to forfeit the record deal in order to complete his studies. 2012 marked the release of the rehashed inspirational single “All In Good Time” which is on high rotation currently in Lagos and the FCT: Pelumi is greatly influenced by artistes such as Deitrick Haddon, Lemar, Musiq Soulchild and John Legend. His deep and soulful lyrics combined with adroit vocals have made him a new force to reckon with on the Nigerian music scene.
